WOMEN'S CLUB RACES

The 16th Annual Women's Race & Cruise to Elliott Bay

May 25-26, 2024

All WVYC women boaters, both power and sail, are welcome and encouraged to attend. The event features a pursuit style race or cruise to the outstation followed by lots of fun and frivolity once we arrive. All skill levels are welcome so get your boat and crew together now. There is plenty of support at this event even if you are new on the helm. This is a great opportunity to try it out.  All female sailing crews will be contenders for the prestigious Diva Trophy. You are welcome to bring your own boat, have a “chauffeur” on your boat or join another boat as crew.

Women's Cruise to Kendrick

July 6-7, 2024

In 2016, Sonia Telford asked a few friends if they were interested in single-handing their sailboats across to Kendrick Island. A handful of ladies accompanied her over the past years which grew their knowledge and expertise for this type of sailing. Today, it is still a feat to cross the strait single handed, but it is now open to double handed as well.

Come join us on this overnight trip to Kendrick for fun and experience. There is no racing, just comradery with other like minded ladies, to do this as a group, a pot-luck dinner and breakfast and the trip home on the Sunday.
