BECOMING A VOLUNTEER
Add your time and talents and play your unique role in our vibrant racing scene at WVYC!
Sailor, power boater, or no boat at all, we welcome all new and seasoned volunteers to our group with a wide variety of year-round volunteering. WVYC proudly hosts many annual regattas and races for youth and adults which attract sailors from around the Pacific Northwest and internationally. It’s a great way to meet and connect with other members, have fun, and contribute to our club which proudly boasts a leader in the volunteer model of yacht clubs. Some of the roles include:
- Fleet Committee – meets monthly and has opportunities ranging from 3 to 10 hrs per month
- Oversees all on the water activities for adults
- Regatta Chair – organize a regatta with support from the Fleet Committee
- Southern Straits
- Halibut/Collingwood
- WVYC/RNSA/NYC single/double-hand Race
