Position: Administrative Assistant - Part-Time

The Club is looking for a permanent, part-time Administrate Assistant who can work three-days a week - Saturday, Sunday and Mondays, plus vacation fill-ins.
: Above average to excellent accurate keyboard skills; Above average to superior abilities in Word and Excel; Proven abilities to maintain client files both electronically and manually; Proven abilities in data base use, data manipulation (import/export) and data management outside of the above programs; Proven abilities in accurately maintaining data lists up-to-date, entering data on a database correctly and follow up on clients who have not complied; Proven abilities in business correspondence both in set up and in drafting the concept to communicate to the client; Proven abilities in website maintenance; and POS and CC terminal experience.
: Well presented; Exceptionally organized; Comfortable working with a private club membership; At ease in a multitasking environment; Able to work unsupervised, complete given tasks and take initiative; Are at ease on a server-based network; and At ease on a multi line phone system.
Other assets - but not required
: A knowledge of marina operations; and Working knowledge of In Design and Photoshop.

Position: School Program Instructors
The Club is looking for qualified individuals who can work in May and June conducting sailing and/or Kayaking and Paddle Boarding school field trips. The day runs from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm with a 45 minute lunch break. Must have your PCOC card and first aid. Priority will be given to those capable of teaching basic small dinghy skills. People hired for the schools program are also given 1st priority for Learn to Sail Instructor positions in July and August.

For these positions you must have your PCOC card and first aid. We also require Sail Canada Instructor training. If you don't have this we will help pay for the Sail Canada courses you need. These courses run at various times between Feb and June. This is a great summer job for students in Grade 10 to University.

Position: CANSail Instructors
2019 Spring/Summer Job Posting
The West Vancouver Yacht Club is looking for all levels of CANSail coaches to join us for the 2019 season. We believe in creating an environment to help our coaches deliver an excellent program to our athletes. We appreciate coaches who are dedicated, knowledgeable and engaging and offer a variety of interesting coaching & learning opportunities. Our season starts in April with our racing programs and school field trips in May and June. In the summer we run all levels of CANSail programs from Intro to Sailing for 5 to 8 yr olds, to CANSail level 1-6 in addition to our Multi-activity kayaking, small keel boating and SUP weekly camps. Apply to join us for the spring, the summer or the spring and summer. Our race programs begin the first week of April and our summer programs begin the last week of June. We have full time and part time positions available and we’re happy to accommodate a variety of schedules. We'll even help pay for your Sail Canada courses required to become an instructor. WVYC is located in West Vancouver, BC. We hope you’ll consider joining us this season.
